Zoom! One Hour Tooth Whitening System
Zoom is an in-office chair-side whitening system that whitens discolored teeth from tea, coffee, wine, tobacco, and other embarrassing stains. The procedure is simple. It begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. Then a special light activated whitening gel is applied. The Zoom light and gel work together to break-up stains and discoloration, helping you achieve a brighter, whiter smile in about an hour!

This system is ideal for busy individuals who want immediate results. Intra Oral Camera
At Christie Dental, we take pride in helping you better understand your dental health. Your Dentist will use a tiny video camera that is the size of a pen and can be moved around the inside of your mouth. It's connected to a television screen inside your treatment room. This intraoral device provides you and the doctor with a tooth-by-tooth video exam of your teeth. This technique allows for a better understanding of your dental needs by actually letting you see what your dentist sees. We can freeze the picture of the inside of your mouth for a bigger and closer look to help you better understand your oral health.

CEREC 3D
CERED 3D technology is revolutionary to dentistry because it creates a beautiful, esthetic, strong and durable ceramic restoration that is precisely bonded to the tooth. It is accomplished using a digital scan of the prepared tooth and creating the restoration's design using powerful 3D software that allows the dentist to customize the result. The design is wirelessly transmitted to a special milling device that will create your restoration using a dental ceramic.

Because this is done in one visit you do not need to have a bulky, messy impression made of your tooth, you do not need to wear a temporary crown and you do not need to come back on a separate visit, often weeks away, to have your new crown placed. It is all done in one convenient visit that lasts a little over an hour. And with this technology you can have multiple teeth treated at once to save you even more time than having multiple visits to treat individual teeth. It also provides an extensive range of dental topics from hygiene to restorative, to esthetic and periodontal disease. The Casey DVD is an excellent way for our patients to gain more insight and understanding about their particular treatment options, thus enabling them to make more informed decisions about their treatment plan.

Laser Periodontal Therapy�
Laser Periodontal Therapy� is a laser-based technique used for the treatment of periodontal disease. You no longer need to fear periodontal treatment. As you will learn, NO scalpel or sutures will be used. Patient friendly laser treatment will help you receive the treatment needed and achieve the smile you deserve!
Our practice is one of the first in the area to offer Laser Periodontal Therapy� for the treatment of gingivitis and/or periodontitis. Following are commonly asked questions about this technology.

How does it work?
Tartar, associated with inflamed and bleeding gums, is removed form the root surface of the tooth using an ultrasonic scaler and small instruments.

Then, a small amount of light energy from a laser is directed through a tiny fiber, which is gently placed between the gum and tooth. This light energy removes a tiny amount of diseased tissue and aids in reducing the bacteria associated with the disease. After the area is thoroughly cleaned, the body can heal the area naturally.

Does it hurt?
Although the procedure itself can be virtually painless, we may anesthetize the area for the patient's comfort. This way we can precisely direct the laser for treatment. Post-procedure discomfort is typically minimal and of short duration.

How long does it take?
Initial treatment is focused on scaling and the use of small instruments to remove the tartar. Then, the laser portion of the treatment is performed, and normally only takes a few minutes. Depending on the severity of the patient's periodontal disease, treatment may be accomplished in one or in multiple office visits. The estimated treatment time is reviewed with patients when we discuss their treatment plan.

The dramatically increased comfort for our patients made the new system attractive to our practice. We do encourage patients to take care of the need now to reduce further damage to their gums, teeth and bone.
