| Dental Services - Crown & Bridge |
Missing teeth can cause problems with speaking and eating. A Crown or a Bridge can help restore your smile.
What is a Crown?
A crown fits over a tooth like a cap to restore it to its normal shape and size. Often used when a tooth has
so many fillings that the tooth has lost much of its strength and integrity, a crown will protect a tooth from
breaking or repair a tooth that’s already broken. A crown can also cover a dental implant, or cover teeth that
are discolored or badly shaped.
You’re missing a tooth. Why should you replace it with a bridge?
If a missing tooth is one of the front teeth it definitely mars your smile, but even if the missing tooth doesn’t
show there are many health reasons to restore your dental landscape. A missing tooth or teeth may cause your face
to alter shape, causing an unwanted effect. And you may be putting extra stress on your remaining teeth when you
chew, which could cause you problems down the line.
A fixed partial denture “bridges” the gap left by missing teeth and can be made of gold, alloys or materials that
match your existing teeth to create a seamless presentation.
