Bio: 

Dr. Maria Hagen is originally from Colombia, South America. She graduated from dental school in Colombia in 1997. After graduation, she worked for the Colombia government for two years, then moved to Florida and worked as a dental hygienist for five years before enrolling in the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Hagen graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009.
During her last year of dental school, she participated in an AEGD program in Jacksonville where she had extensive training on dental implants, periodontal surgery and endodontic procedures.

"I wanted to follow my uncle's example," she says. "He is a general dentist working in Tallahassee, Florida. I am happy when my patients are satisfied with their dental work."

Dr. Hagen is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. When she is away from the office, she enjoys dancing and traveling.
