Sheila Chandrahasa, DMD, Endodontist Bio:  "The most gratifying experience in the practice of Endodontics is seeing the patient out of pain and having them smile again."
Dr. Chandrahasa attended Emory University where she received for her Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1998. In 2005 she completed the Dental program at Nova Southeastern University. During her dental education she completed a Medical Mission to Jamaica. Upon graduating she completed her residency at Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital where she treated patients as a general dentist and continued general dentistry in South Florida following her residency.
Dr. Chandrahasa furthered her career and entered and completed an Endodontic Residency Program at Nova Southeastern University. During her program, Dr. Chandrahasa did dental research in stem cell therapy for regeneration of teeth.
Dr. Chandrahasa is very experienced in treating complicated Endodontic cases and specializes in diagnosing and treating oral pain, traumatic injuries to teeth and performing both non-surgical and surgical Endodontic procedures, always utilizing microscopic endodontics. Dr. Chandrahasa utilizes state of the art microscopes for every procedure and in most cases, completes root canal therapy in one appointment. She joined the Christie Dental Partners team in 2009.
When Dr. Chandrahasa is away from the office, she enjoys the beach, traveling and reading.
Currently, Dr Chandrahasa is a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Association of Endodontists.
Bio: Dr. Clark is originally from Bartow, FL. She completed her undergraduate work in Jacksonville at University of North Florida then attended dental school at University of Florida in Gainesville earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2010.
When Dr. Clark is not in the office caring for patients, she enjoys traveling on dental mission trips, being outside and spending time with family and friends. Her goal is to provide the highest quality dental care with compassion and consideration.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Alachua County Dental Society, and the Christian Dental Society.
Brion Long, DMD, MS, Orthodontist Bio: Dr. Brion Long graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2000. He then attended advanced education in Orthodontic specialty at the University of Florida, where he graduated in 2009.
"I like working with people and especially families, that is the best part of having a career in the Orthodontics," he said. When Dr. Long is away from the office he enjoys tennis, hiking, swimming and basketball.
Dr. Long is a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics.
"Dr. Long is so thorough and comprehensive," said the parent of one of his patients. "It was amazing at how much time he spent explaining the growth and change that my son's face and mouth are going through. I thought I had brought him in too young but now I am so glad that I did. Dr. Long and his staff have been wonderful."
Bio: Dr. Ingrid Bernal is originally from Columbia, South America. She graduated from the University of Florida earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2009. When Dr. Medina is away from the office she enjoys aerobics, spending time with family and church activities. Dr. Medina is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Bio: Dr. Vivek Nerikar was born in Des Moines, Iowa and has lived in Gainesville since 1973. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1998. Upon graduation, he continued his education and completed a General Practice residency at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Florida.
"There is a shortage of dentists who see children, and I do not like to see children in dental need," he said. "I work with children because they have very distinctive personalities that bring a smile to my face."
When Dr. Nerikar is away from the office, he enjoys Gator sports, playing basketball, football and reading.

Bio: Dr. Lauzan graduated from dental school in Cuba in 2000. After dental school she practiced as a general dentist in Cuba for 6 years. She fled Cuba and arrived in the United States. She lived in Florida for 2 years before moving to New Jersey to complete the additional two years of schooling that would enable her to practice dentistry in the US. She graduated for New Jersey School Dental School in 2011. Dr. Lauzan, her husband and their seven-year-old daughter, now call the Ocala area home.

Dr. Daniel Eley earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He swam through college and was the captain of the swim team his senior year. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL, and while there he participated in mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala.
When Dr. Eley is away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. That often involves fishing, cooking out, watching college football, or just hanging out.
Dr. Eley is certified in Invisalign clear braces and in nitrous oxide administration. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), and the Central Florida District Dental Association (CFDDA).

Bio: Dr. Walton Van Hoose lives in Citrus County with his wife of 27 years. As a native of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Dr. Van Hoose received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky in 1985. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Public Health Service as a Commissioned Officer. He served numerous assignments and at various locations during his 23 year career with PHS. Dr. Van Hoose has received numerous awards from the USPHS and was the recipient of the National Healthcare Administrator for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 1999.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.

Bio: Dr. Manoj Patel earned his dental degree in India and practiced as a general dentist until 2002. He later moved to the United States to continue his passion for dentistry. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Florida and is a Gator fan. During his dental education at the University of Florida, he completed various certification in implant placement and Invisalign®. Dr. Patel treats all phases of dentistry from simple fillings to full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Patel joined the Christie Dental Partners team in 2010.
When Dr. Patel is away from the office, he enjoys hobbies such as volleyball, tennis, and cricket. He is actively involved in charitable dental camps and various cultural and religious activities in Brevard County.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), and the American General Dentistry Organization (AGD).

Bio: Dr. Paula Fiuza Bielak has been in the field of dentistry for over 10 years in three different countries. In 2002, she graduated from Dental School in Brazil and completed her residency in General Dentistry. She then established and managed her independent dental practice there for several years before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in the United States. Dr. Bielak graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2011. Her diverse experience also includes dental assisting and externship in London, England.

Bio: Dr. Robert M. Peters graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1988, earning a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, he completed an Implant Internship for the University of Texas in 1996-1997 and a Misch Implant Institute Fellowship in 2002. Dr. Peters has been practicing Dentistry for 20 years and became an associate of Christie Dental in 2006. Dr. Peters is involved in various organizations. In the past, he was the local President and State Vice President of the Oklahoma Jaycees. When he is not in the office, he enjoys scuba diving, golf, motorcycles and traveling.
Bio: Dr. Ryan Osorio grew up out west in the Rocky Mountains and enjoyed playing football, snow skiing, and track. He was also involved in performing when he was young, which led to a professional worldwide touring group in his teens. Although he still enjoys athletes and songwriting, he now enjoys spending most of his free time with his wife and son.
He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida—Go Gators!—and was honored to receive the the "Clinical Excellence and Professionalism" award. He is a member of the ADA and AGD, is certified in Invisalign® clear braces and is trained in nitrous oxide administration. He is committed to excellence and strives to exceed the expectations of his patients. His number one goal is that his patients have a positive, comfortable experience at each visit.

Linda L. Witherow, D.D.S. Bio: "I love working with people to help them achieve a healthy mouth and a great smile. I also enjoy the challenge of "miniature engineering" and have always been interested in health professions."
Dr. Linda L. Witherow was born in Germany and has lived in 10 states while growing up. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in 1972. She then earned a Doctorate in Dental Science Degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia in 1984.
Upon graduation, Dr. Witherow began her career and has been practicing dentistry in Citrus County for more than twenty three years.
When Dr. Witherow is away from the office, she enjoys singing in the church choir, sewing, needle crafts, reading and travel.

Maria F. Barrera Hagen, D.D.S. Bio: Dr. Maria Hagen is originally from Colombia, South America. She graduated from dental school in Colombia in 1997. After graduation, she worked for the Colombia government for two years, then moved to Florida and worked as a dental hygienist for five years before enrolling in the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Hagen graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009.
During her last year of dental school, she participated in an AEGD program in Jacksonville where she had extensive training on dental implants, periodontal surgery and endodontic procedures.
"I wanted to follow my uncle's example," she says. "He is a general dentist working in Tallahassee, Florida. I am happy when my patients are satisfied with their dental work."
Dr. Hagen is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. When she is away from the office, she enjoys dancing and traveling.
